.bmp "Image") Hidden away in the upstairs function room of Middlesbrough's Walkabout pub is a lovely little gig supporting new and local talent at low cost and high value for money. To be honest, I was surprised to see the relatively new night providing a line up as strong as it did tonight, as it continues to build a following on Teesside. In contrast to usual comedy practise, this open-mic night started around 7:30pm and finished for 10pm, so I set out early in order to secure a seat.

Ever since headlining Leeds Festival 2006 - when I first heard them - Muse have been one of my favourite bands; and when they do live shows in the UK I do everything I can to make sure I'm there. The spectacular stage shows, the tremendous playing and the epic arenas I've seen them play previously meant when they played Lancashire Cricket Ground in Manchester I was expecting an unbeatable set-list, amazing lights and a stage show that you would get from no other band on the planet. I got exactly what I expected.
